Please join us at Stillpoint at Beckside for this four-part, monthly series focusing on the wisdom contained in Fr. Richard Rohr’s book “Falling Upward.”
In 2011, the first edition of “Falling Upward“ by Fr. Richard Rohr was published. Out of the over 30 books Rohr has written, “Falling Upward” has sold more copies internationally than any other book. Why the universal attraction to the wisdom contained in “Falling Upward”? What is so life-giving in this transition from The First Half of Life to The Second Half of Life?
These are the questions we’ll be contemplating in this four-month series. We will undertake the journey of the monomyth, the hero/heroine journey, learning about the primary archetypes along with Fr. Richard’s teachings around the Three Domes and his Order, Disorder and Reorder concepts. We will also discover our own primary archetype and learn why it is so critical to understand and begin to embrace elements of the other archetypes as well.
All archetypes, and indeed each one of us, have light elements and dark elements. Embracing the transition into the Second Half of Life is critical in becoming fully mature, healthy adults. It establishes our connection to the Sacred and allows us to employ our true gifts to the world.
This is a 4-part series from January – April. Recommended reading: “Falling Upward” by Richard Rohr
This event is limited to 20 people. Registration is required.
